Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has given an update about his team as they prepare to play against Paris Saint-Germain in the Club World Cup final. The match is set to take place on Sunday night at MetLife Stadium.
While speaking before the game, Maresca said his players are prepared for the challenge and ready to face PSG in the final. He sounded confident about the team’s condition and focus.
Maresca also spoke about the chances of Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro being part of the starting team. He said Caicedo trained with the rest of the players that morning and that there is hope he will be available for Sunday’s match.
About Joao Pedro, the coach said he is a talented player who performs well in tight spaces. Maresca didn’t confirm whether Pedro will start but said the final team will be decided soon.
He explained how special it is for Chelsea to reach the final stage, pointing out that the tournament started with thirty-two teams. Now that only two teams remain, he said the Chelsea squad feels proud and happy to be among them.
Maresca ended by saying he believes the team is ready to give their best in the final on Sunday.
