ADC Coalition: I Don’t Know What Peter Obi Is Doing There – Bode George

Bode George, a former top official of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has said he doesn’t understand why Peter Obi is now part of the ADC coalition. Peter Obi, who was the presidential candidate for the Labour Party in the 2023 election, is now working with a new political group that wants to remove President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Bode George spoke during an interview on Arise News. He encouraged those who left the PDP to return so they can stand a better chance of winning the next election. According to him, staying united is the best way to defeat Tinubu, not splitting into different political camps.

He mentioned that the PDP had some issues in the past, especially over who would handle matters with INEC. But those problems have now been resolved. George said he wishes those leaving the PDP good luck, but reminded everyone that what really matters in elections is the voice of the voters.

George said he has no doubt that the PDP is still capable of winning in 2027. He explained that the will of the people is very powerful and can bring about change if everyone works together.

He also criticized those who are now with the ADC. He said they all once belonged to the PDP and gained a lot from the party. He questioned why they are leaving and said it seems they are only thinking about themselves. When he saw Peter Obi among them, he was surprised and questioned his reason for joining the coalition.

George pointed out that most of the people in the new group were once part of the PDP. He said he wishes them well but strongly advised them to return and work together if they truly want to remove Tinubu in 2027. Dividing the opposition, he warned, will only make it easier for Tinubu to win again.

Some of the other politicians in the coalition include former Senate President David Mark, former Governor of Rivers State Chibuike Amaechi, former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, along with many others.
