Vice President Kashim Shettima recently travelled to London to visit former President Muhammadu Buhari, who is currently receiving medical treatment. It was reported that Buhari was seriously ill and had to be placed in intensive care. Thankfully, his condition has improved, and he is now recovering well.

According to a source who spoke to Daily Trust, Shettima left Nigeria on Sunday night, June 29, and met with Buhari the next morning, Monday, June 30. During the same visit to London, Shettima also stopped by to see former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.

When the media asked about the purpose of the trip and why it was not announced, Stanley Nkwocha, who works as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications, confirmed the Vice President’s trip. He explained that the journey was strictly personal and not connected to official government duties.
