Napoli has refused a new €75 million bid from Turkish club Galatasaray for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. Even though the amount matched the release clause in Osimhen’s contract, Napoli still rejected it.
This update was shared by Nigerian sports journalist and transfer insider Onyebuchi Onokala, who is also known as Buchi Laba. He explained that Napoli is not interested in letting Osimhen go to Galatasaray.
Instead, Napoli is working to send the Super Eagles star to a club in Saudi Arabia, where they believe they can make more money from the deal. Buchi Laba revealed that Osimhen has already agreed to join Galatasaray and wants to continue playing for them.
Osimhen had previously spent time with the Turkish club and was happy with the idea of staying permanently. However, Napoli seems to be deliberately blocking the transfer to Galatasaray even though the club met the financial terms in his contract. Their main goal appears to be pushing him toward a move to the Middle East, which the player is not interested in.
