Court sentences man to 50 hours community service for possession of fraudulent documents in Lagos

A court in Ikeja, Lagos, has sentenced a man named Abdulrahman Murphy Usifo to 50 hours of community service. This was after he was found guilty of having fake documents.

The case was handled by Justice O.A. Fadipe at the State High Court. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 2, brought the case against Usifo. He was accused of cybercrime and having fake papers.

When he was brought before the court, Usifo admitted he was guilty of the crime.

After his plea, the EFCC lawyer, I.G. Akhanolu, told the court more about the case.

He explained that when Usifo was arrested, the officers found an iPhone 15 Pro Max and an HP laptop with him. Usifo was taken to the EFCC office on Okotie-Eboh Road in Ikoyi, where he gave a written statement after being questioned.
