UAE imposes fresh conditions on Nigerians travelling to Dubai, bans transit visa

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has set new travel rules for Nigerians going to Dubai, including a ban on transit visa applications.

This new update was shared with travel agents on Tuesday.

According to the notice, Nigerians aged between 18 and 45 years are no longer allowed to apply for tourist visas unless they are traveling with someone.

For applicants aged 45 and above, they must submit a personal Nigerian bank statement for the last six months. Each month must show a minimum closing balance of $10,000 or the naira equivalent.

Nigerians planning to apply for UAE visas have been told to keep these requirements in mind before submitting other documents like hotel bookings, passport data pages, and more.

This update comes just a year after UAE lifted a two-year visa ban on Nigerians.
