I will be disappointed if he goes to Galatasaray – Rio Ferdinand urges his former club Man United to sign Victor Osimhen

Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, has spoken out about where he thinks Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen should play next. Ferdinand made it clear that he would be very disappointed if Osimhen leaves Napoli to join Turkish club Galatasaray instead of moving to Manchester United.

In a recent talk with tennis star Nick Kyrgios on talkSPORT, Ferdinand stressed that Manchester United desperately need a strong striker. He pointed out that the club already lost the chance to sign Viktor Gyökeres, who is now close to joining Arsenal.

Ferdinand praised Osimhen’s skills, saying, “Osimhen knows how to score goals at the top level.” According to him, the Super Eagles striker has proven himself and is ready for a big move to the Premier League.

Recent reports revealed that Galatasaray have offered £50 million for Osimhen. But Ferdinand feels that amount is way too low for such a talented striker. He called the bid “absolute peanuts” and said a player like Osimhen is worth much more in today’s football market.

“I will be disappointed if Osimhen goes to Galatasaray for that type of money when Man United are crying out for a number 9,” Ferdinand added.

He also said that if Manchester United manage to sign Osimhen, he would feel a lot more confident about the team’s performance next season. According to him, Osimhen would solve many of the club’s current attacking problems.

Ferdinand ended by saying, “But if Man United got Osimhen, then I wouldn’t be too concerned.”
