2027: ADC will collapse in six months — Presidential spokesperson, Daniel Bwala

The Presidency has said that the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition will not last beyond six months. According to them, the group has no strong ideas or proper plans to offer Nigerians.

Daniel Bwala, who advises President Tinubu on policy communication, shared this during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today. He said the ADC coalition is not a real threat. He mentioned that even Datti Baba-Ahmed, the Labour Party’s 2023 vice-presidential candidate, warned that the coalition might fall apart due to disagreements over who should be the presidential candidate. Datti had earlier advised Nigerians not to be too excited about the group.

Bwala went further to describe the ADC coalition as a group of “politicians without direction” who only know how to criticize the government. He said they haven’t suggested any meaningful policies or solutions. According to him, their actions show they don’t truly care about the people.

He also said President Tinubu’s government has nothing to worry about. In his view, the coalition is already weak and will not survive. He explained that such coalitions usually start with a lot of noise and hope, but soon collapse due to internal fights. “Everyone wants to be president,” Bwala said. He believes that in six months, the group will break up.
