Local government elections will show that FCT people resent Wike- Senator Ireti Kingibe

Senator Ireti Kingibe, who represents the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has said that the local government elections scheduled for early next year will prove that many people living in the FCT do not support the current Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television, Senator Kingibe stated that Wike has not been serving the people well. She believes he does not truly understand the needs and concerns of FCT residents. According to her, the elections will clearly show how united the indigenous people of the FCT are in their frustration with the minister.

She made it clear that the results of the election will not just be about politics, but a direct message from the people who feel ignored and dissatisfied with Wike’s leadership.

“Local government elections is coming early next year. That is when the people of the FCT show Ministers  ‘we like you or we do not like you’.

The local government elections is going to tell whether Wike controls FCT because nobody does. It is only people who have lived here for a long time know that the people of the FCT have their independent mind and it is the people who have lived here would know that the one thing that unites us in the FCT is our resentment of the Minister. It is not just about development, It is about treating us with disregard and contempt”
