Gunmen attacked a community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed a police inspector named Donfa Chirtip. His wife, Victoria, was also kidnapped during the incident.

A security expert, Zagazola Makama, shared this sad news on the social media platform X.

According to Makama, the officer and his wife were returning home from their farmland when the attack happened. Inspector Donfa was a member of the Special Protection Unit Base 7 in Abuja.

Later that same Friday, Donfa’s body was found in a farmland near the community. Security officers who came to the scene noticed a deep wound on his neck.

Initial findings show that the couple had left for the farm early in the morning around 7 a.m. on a motorcycle.

It is believed they were ambushed by unknown attackers as they returned in the evening.

When the officer’s body was taken to Doka General Hospital, a medical worker confirmed he had died.

Security forces are now working to find his kidnapped wife and arrest those behind the crime.

Efforts to reach the police spokesperson in Kaduna, Mansir Hassan, for comments were not successful.
