The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has asked President Bola Tinubu to release the full forensic audit report of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Wike made this demand on Friday while speaking on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
He accused former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, of illegally collecting about N4 billion every month from the NDDC while he was in office. Wike claimed the money was supposedly used to train women from Rivers State.
He also said the money went through a company that is believed to be connected to Amaechi’s wife.
Wike was reacting to Amaechi’s earlier comment where he praised his wife as a hardworking businesswoman who is almost like an industrialist.
Wike didn’t stop there. He also accused the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, of hiding the NDDC audit report. Wike believes Malami did this to protect Amaechi and others who were involved in the alleged misuse of public funds
