Lere Olayinka, the media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has dismissed the recently formed opposition coalition led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He advised Nigerians to be wise and observe that the children of those pushing the coalition are actually members of the major political parties—the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Olayinka pointed out that the daughter of David Mark, the interim chairman of the ADC coalition, is currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives under the APC.
He also revealed that two of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s sons are holding strong positions in Adamawa State—one as a commissioner and the other as a major contractor—both under a PDP government.
Additionally, he said that the son of former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is also a member of the House of Representatives under the APC.
Olayinka took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his views. He mocked Nigerians for promoting the opposition coalition online while the leaders of the same coalition have family members comfortably settled in APC and PDP. He concluded with sarcasm, saying people will eventually come to their senses.
