APC begins consultations to replace Ganduje

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has started looking for someone to take over from Abdullahi Ganduje, who recently stepped down as the party’s National Chairman.

Speaking on Sunday during an interview with Channels Television, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, confirmed that the party is already holding meetings to decide who will be the next chairman.

Ganduje had announced his resignation last week, saying he was stepping down for personal and urgent reasons.

Morka explained that the APC is moving quickly to fill the role because they cannot leave such an important position empty for long.

He said, “We will act fast to fill that spot,” while speaking during the interview.

Even though no date has been chosen yet for the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, Morka assured that the date will be announced very soon.

When asked when the process will end, Morka said, “The process has already started and meetings are ongoing.”

Meanwhile, President Bola Tinubu has asked the Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, to take over as Acting Chairman until a permanent replacement is found.

Ganduje became the APC National Chairman in August 2023 after the resignation of his predecessor, Abdullahi Adamu.
