Fenerbahçe has officially entered the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who is also highly wanted by Galatasaray this summer.
According to Ekol Sports, Fenerbahçe’s president, Ali Koç, has made the highest offer to Napoli so far, showing the club’s strong interest in bringing the Nigerian star to Istanbul.
Galatasaray, on the other hand, has also submitted offers to both Napoli and Osimhen. However, they have decided to wait calmly for the player’s decision before making any further moves.
Last season, Osimhen played for Galatasaray on loan and had a successful year, helping the club win both the Turkish Cup and the Turkish Super Lig title. His strong performance made fans and the club eager to keep him permanently.
For now, Osimhen has not chosen where he will play next season. He is currently on summer holiday and has not made any public decision.
The 25-year-old, who was once named African Player of the Year, is currently on the radar of many big clubs. These include Juventus, Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Al Hilal, and of course, both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe.
Still, if a deal with a top European club doesn’t work out, Osimhen is said to prefer staying at Galatasaray on a full-time contract.
Fans of both Turkish clubs now wait anxiously as Osimhen’s final decision could shape the future of the Super Lig next season.
