Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong says he’s not planning to quit the Nigerian national team anytime soon. He explained that he still enjoys playing and feels he can contribute more.

During an interview with Punch, he was asked if he had ever thought about retiring from international football. Troost-Ekong said he hasn’t considered that yet.

He has been a key player in the Super Eagles defense for many years. According to him, he still feels strong both physically and mentally and is ready to keep playing at a high level.

Even though he’s not thinking about leaving now, Troost-Ekong admitted that it’s important to know the right time to step away. He made it clear that when that time comes, he will step aside without anyone having to tell him.

He ended by saying that although he’s 31 years old, he feels he still has something valuable to offer the team. He promised not to stay longer than he should.
