Mbappe drags PSG to court for alleged attempted extortion

Kylian Mbappe, who now plays for Real Madrid, has sued his former team Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). He accused the club of trying to force him to sign a new contract by using pressure and threats.

He said that in 2023, PSG tried to make him agree to a new deal by not allowing him to train with the rest of the team. This happened when he refused to extend his contract with the club.

A French newspaper, Le Parisien, reported that Mbappe filed a legal complaint on May 16. In it, he said PSG caused him emotional stress and mental pressure during the contract disagreement.

Mbappe’s complaint focuses on how PSG treated him in the summer of 2023. He claims they unfairly removed him from the main team to push him into signing a contract he didn’t want.

French authorities have assigned two judges to handle the case. The investigation officially started on Tuesday, and the legal process is now moving forward.

Mbappe later left PSG for free and joined Real Madrid. Since joining the Spanish club, he has been playing very well and is enjoying his new chapter.
