Popular Nigerian skit maker, Carter Efe, can no longer access his Instagram and TikTok accounts.
This happened just a few days after he spoke negatively about popular musician Wizkid during a live session on TikTok.
During the live video on Tuesday, Carter Efe said that Wizkid is too proud and even called him an “idiot.”
He added, “If Wizkid calls me ‘my G,’ that means a lion is pregnant. It can’t happen. That boy is too proud, idiot.”
After this statement, Wizkid’s fans—also known as Wizkid FC—reacted strongly. They started warning that they would report all of Carter Efe’s social media accounts.
Later on Wednesday evening, Carter Efe posted on X (formerly Twitter) that his Instagram account, which had 1.8 million followers, had been taken down.
Shortly after that, he released a video apologizing. In the video, he also revealed that his TikTok account had been blocked.
Carter Efe wrote, “Wizkid FC, you people have taken my Instagram account with 1.8 million followers.”
“This is too much. Now TikTok is also gone. Wizkid FC, you betrayed me. Please forgive me. Wizkid, I’m sorry. Help me beg your fans. I’m really in pain.”
