Popular Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has opened up about her first marriage to Adeniyi Johnson, revealing what really caused it to end.

She said her family had warned her not to go ahead with the marriage, but she ignored their advice and went ahead anyway.

According to Toyin, her family had prayed and didn’t feel good about the relationship from the beginning. But she didn’t listen to their warnings at the time.

During a chat with media host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Toyin spoke warmly about her current husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, who is also an actor. She described their relationship as full of love, support, and understanding.

Toyin said they grew closer through shared experiences and strong faith. This connection later led to marriage and the blessing of two children.

She showed deep appreciation for Kolawole, saying she feels happy and fulfilled with him.

In her words, “He is a calm and prayerful man. Whenever I go to Abeokuta, he’s always there for me. Over time, we got closer and started dating. At first, I kept it private, but later I didn’t care about what people would say. We met each other’s parents, had an introduction, then I got pregnant, and we got married.”

She also added, “My family prayed and said he was the right man for me. Now we have two kids, a boy and a girl. I believe I married one of the best men out there. He’s not perfect, but he’s amazing.”
