Big Brother Naija star Zion Edet has broken his silence after his ex-girlfriend, Chinwe Okafor, accused him of taking advantage of her financially during an explosive reunion episode. He took to social media to address what he calls “twisted narratives” about their relationship.

He began by explaining why he’s generally quiet, but felt compelled to respond this time. Zion revealed that when their relationship started, he had just returned from studying abroad and was focused on building his personal brands. Chinwe, he says, was initially supportive—but things changed as their lifestyles and values diverged, leading her to publicly shame him.

To counter claims of unfair treatment, Zion detailed romantic gestures he made during their relationship: planning a relaxing spa day, buying thoughtful gifts, and even cooking her birthday dinner. Regarding the much-discussed N270,000 he requested for his birthday club outing, Zion explained the total bill exceeded N1 million. He only asked Chinwe to chip in her share, and now regrets counting on someone who wouldn’t support him in return.

Zion then revealed that Chinwe’s team owes his side N1 million, though he asked them not to pursue the debt out of concern for her feelings. Lastly, he directly addressed her accusations of infidelity, asserting that loyalty issues existed on both sides.
