The Police Command in Edo State has asked women to always inform someone about their location, even if they are meeting someone for a hookup. This is to help ensure their safety.

This advice was given on Sunday, June 22, after the sad case of a 21-year-old woman, Osato Festus Edogiaweria, who was killed.

Police have arrested a man named Joshua Osaigbovo in connection with the murder. They also found Osato’s body, which had been buried in a shallow grave.

Osato had been missing since April 2025. She was last seen when she went to visit the suspect.

The police spokesperson shared a post online, urging ladies to always share their location with someone, even if they are meeting someone for a hookup. This small step could help save lives.
