Former U.S. President Donald Trump has told Israel not to bomb Iran, urging the country to avoid military action.
He made this statement through a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Tuesday.
Trump, who is 79 years old, strongly insisted that all Israeli fighter jets should return home. He warned that going ahead with the bombing would be a serious mistake.
In his words: “ISRAEL. do not drop those bombs. If you do, it is a major violation. Bring your pilots home now!”
In a follow-up post, Trump confidently stated that there would be no attack. According to him, the Israeli jets would fly back and even wave to Iran in peace.
He wrote: “ISRAEL is not going to attack Iran. All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly ‘Plane Wave’ to Iran.”
Trump added that no one would be harmed and that the ceasefire is already in place. He thanked everyone for paying attention.
This surprising statement came just hours after Trump claimed that peace had been achieved between Iran and Israel.
However, despite the announcement of peace, there’s still tension between the two nations. A missile strike in Beersheba recently killed around four people, raising concerns over the true start time of the ceasefire.
