During the first episode of the Big Brother Naija Season 9 reunion show, former housemates and ex-lovers Zion and Chinwe got into a heated argument. They disagreed on who actually ended their relationship, and both shared different reasons for the breakup.

Zion said he was the one who broke things off with Chinwe. He explained that their goals and life directions didn’t match anymore, which made him feel the relationship had to end.

Chinwe didn’t agree with Zion’s explanation. She said he was lying and that the relationship ended because he didn’t take her seriously. According to her, his careless behavior caused the breakup.

When the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, asked Zion to explain, he said their lives were going in separate directions. He also said the way Chinwe behaved made it hard to continue the relationship.

Chinwe responded by saying Zion wasn’t being honest. She said he should stop twisting the story and admit what really happened. She felt hurt that he claimed to be the one who broke things off.

She shared an example to support her point. She said that the night before she was supposed to travel, she asked Zion to spend time with her. But he went out partying instead and didn’t return. His phone was off, and when he came back the next day, he said he couldn’t find a ride. However, he went to his friend’s house, which was nearby.

Chinwe also said that Zion’s family and friends didn’t like her. She believes it’s because she told everyone during the show that she helped sponsor Zion to get on BBNaija, which they didn’t like.
