President Bola Tinubu shared a heartfelt story during an event in Abuja on Monday, where he introduced an old friend named Alex.
At the event, Tinubu said Alex used to live close to him and they both attended the same school in Chicago, USA. He mentioned that neither of them imagined that one would become the President of Nigeria and the other a successful businessman.
The President made these comments while launching 2,000 tractors and other farming tools for a government programme aimed at improving agriculture across Nigeria.
He revealed that Alex is from Belarus and praised how life had taken them both on very different, successful paths.
Tinubu also used the opportunity to thank the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security for working hard to deal with food shortages and helping to keep the food supply steady in the country.
He repeated his appreciation to the ministry for their efforts to solve the food crisis and support the nation’s food systems.
