Laide Bakare didn’t stay silent. She made a video reply in Yoruba, warning Portable to stop talking about her. She even threatened to hit him, using a Yoruba phrase “dabara bo e,” which means a strong slap on the back. She made it clear that she won’t take insults.

But Portable didn’t back down. Instead of responding with words alone, he released a diss track targeting Laide. In the song, he used her own threats as part of the chorus, especially the slap phrase, and threw insults back at her in the lyrics.
