Phyna rages at Tinubu over Benue visit, sparks mixed reactions

Reality TV star Phyna caused a stir online after she shared her anger about President Bola Tinubu’s recent visit to Yelwata, a community in Benue State that was attacked by suspected herdsmen.

The Yelwata attack was brutal, with over 200 people reportedly killed. President Tinubu later visited the state and was seen at a hospital meeting with some people said to be victims of the violence.

Phyna didn’t believe the people Tinubu met were actual victims. She was also upset that a red carpet was laid at the hospital for the president.

She even suggested that the pictures of Tinubu at the hospital were fake. According to her, the attack left no survivors, and she asked who the people in the hospital really were.

In her post on X (formerly Twitter), Phyna said that everyone in Yelwata was killed and burned. She questioned why the president was visiting people in a hospital and accused the government of editing photos just to deceive Nigerians.

Phyna tweeted, “There were no victims in Yelewata, they were all killed and burnt alive. Who are those in the hospital that the President went to visit standing on a red rug? Why are you doing a photoshop to make us angrier? Nigeria has failed us.”

Her post drew mixed reactions from people online.

Some users praised her for speaking out, saying she was brave to question the situation. Others accused her of using the tragedy to gain attention without knowing the real facts.

A user named @kakanfo responded, asking how she knew that everyone had died and if she was one of the attackers. Another, @legalyz, told her not to speak on things she wasn’t sure about.

Some people felt Phyna just wanted to trend, while others agreed with her, saying the government’s actions were fake and misleading.

One person mentioned that not all victims died; some survived earlier attacks before the Yelwata incident. These survivors could be the ones Tinubu met at the hospital.
