President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has said that he is not troubled by opposition or criticism, even when people show hatred towards him. He reminded the people of Benue State that, despite the hate, he is still their president.

Tinubu said this on Wednesday when he visited Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. His visit was to sympathize with the people after the recent violent attacks in the state that left many dead.

While speaking to a group made up of politicians, traditional rulers, youth leaders, and other important figures in the state, the President made it clear that negative opinions about him do not affect his duty.

According to Tinubu, being a leader means not everyone will support or like you. He added jokingly, “They hate me like hell, but I am still here as the President.”
