Fati Vázquez, a 30-year-old influencer, has spoken out about receiving frightening death threats. This started after people on social media began linking her to Barcelona football player, Lamine Yamal.

People started gossiping when both Fati and Yamal posted holiday pictures on Instagram. They were not together in the pictures, but they appeared to be in the same place during the same weekend.

Yamal posted photos showing himself relaxing on a boat with rocky scenery behind him. He also shared a picture of an infinity pool with a tree and a canopy beside it. A few days later, Fati uploaded her own pictures—also on a boat and at what looked like the same pool, but from different angles.

After seeing both sets of photos, fans started putting things together. Many believed that Fati and Yamal had gone on vacation together and might be dating.

Fati has now responded to all the online talk. She used her Instagram account on Tuesday to speak about the issue and said she’s been receiving serious threats since the photos came out.

She wrote that it’s really upsetting to know that some people have so much negativity in them that they can wish death on someone they don’t even know personally.

Fati added that how people behave online says more about them than the person they are attacking. She said she chooses to live in peace, stay focused on personal growth, and surround herself with positivity.

Finally, she said that even though she is being hated, she doesn’t return the hate. Instead, she hopes that those who are attacking her can find healing, because she believes that people who are doing well in life don’t wish harm on others.
