EPL: Arsenal refuse to pay transfer fees for Sesko, Gyokeres

Arsenal have decided not to pay the large amounts being asked for Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres.

Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg revealed that the club feels the prices for the two strikers are too much.

RB Leipzig is asking between €80 million and €100 million for Sesko, but Arsenal don’t want to pay that much.

Although Arsenal have spoken with Sesko’s representatives, they have not yet agreed on his wages or contract details.

Because of this, Arsenal may now start focusing more on Gyokeres as a possible signing.

Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is hoping his club will agree to let him go for around €60 million to €70 million.

However, there is a chance Sporting CP might ask for even more money for the Swedish forward.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is planning to bring in a well-known striker this summer, as he builds a strong team that can win trophies next season.
