Galatasaray is ready to offer Victor Osimhen the highest salary in the club’s history in hopes that he will stay with them. The Nigerian striker spent the 2024/2025 season on loan in Istanbul and played very well.
Osimhen had an outstanding season, scoring 37 goals and making 8 assists in 41 matches. His performances helped Galatasaray win both the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup. While the club waits for him to decide about his future, they have already signed another big name, Leroy Sane, who joined as a free agent from Bayern Munich.
Reports say Sane will earn €12 million per year after tax, which makes him the highest-paid football player in Turkey for now. But according to Soccernet, Galatasaray is ready to give Osimhen an even higher salary—€15 million per year after tax—if he chooses to stay. This would make him the best-paid player in Turkish football history, ahead of Sane.
Even though he received a massive offer from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal, which included €40 million a year plus €5 million in bonuses, Osimhen turned it down. It seems he may prefer to continue playing in Europe rather than move to the Saudi Pro League. Galatasaray’s offer shows how much they value him and want him to be part of their future.
