The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has shared that residents affected by a road construction project in Gishiri and other parts of Abuja received fair compensation from the government.

He said this during the official opening of Arterial Road N16 (Shehu Shagari Way) to Arterial Road N20 (Wole Soyinka Way), along with other new roads in the Katampe district of Abuja.

Wike also thanked President Bola Tinubu for supporting the improvement and development of roads and infrastructure in the capital city.

Also speaking at the event, FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, thanked residents for being patient throughout the construction process.

She praised the people of Gishiri, Maitama, and the wider FCT community for their strength and trust in the government. She said these new roads are a sign of appreciation for their continued hope and support.
