As the 2027 presidential election draws closer, Nigerian lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju has shared his thoughts on Peter Obi’s chances. According to him, the best position Obi might get is to be Atiku Abubakar’s running mate if the former vice president decides to contest again.
Adeyanju posted this opinion on his X (formerly Twitter) handle. He said only a politician from the northern region of Nigeria can seriously challenge and possibly defeat President Bola Tinubu in the next election.
He also took a jab at Peter Obi’s supporters, popularly known as the Obidients. Adeyanju said he expects backlash from them for expressing his view, but he remains firm in his belief.
