Shehu Sani urges ASUU to study the strategy of the Teachers Union of Niger Republic if FG fails to meet their demands

Nigerian politician Shehu Sani has advised the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to look at how teachers in the Niger Republic are handling their dispute with the government.

He said the teachers in Niger Republic warned that they might give students free scores if the government doesn’t respond to their requests.

Sani, who used to be a senator, suggested that ASUU could learn from this unusual but peaceful protest strategy.

He wrote, “The Teachers Union of Niger Republic is threatening to give free marks to students if the Government fails to meet their demands. I call on my comrades in ASUU to study this strategy.”

However, some Nigerians who saw the post said they don’t think this plan would work in Nigeria. They believe the system here is different and such a move may not bring the results ASUU wants.
