Student kidn@pped after school by fake policemen

Police in Bloemfontein, South Africa, are searching urgently for a 19-year-old student named Kamogelo Baukudi. She was taken by two men who acted like police officers.

Kamogelo is in Grade 11 and goes to Marti du Plessis School in Fichardt Park. On the day she went missing, she was picked up by Daniel Malebatso, who usually gives her a lift from school. They had just left the school in a silver Suzuki Ertiga when they were stopped on Vereeniging Drive in Ehrlich Park.

Police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Covane said Malebatso told them he heard sirens and saw a white Toyota Hilux GD-6 double cab with blue flashing lights pull them over. The car looked like it had police equipment inside.

Inside the Hilux were two men. One was wearing what looked like a police uniform, and the other was dressed in a blue tracksuit.

The man in uniform told Malebatso that their car was suspected of being used for drug deliveries. Then, they told Malebatso to drive ahead while they followed him. They claimed they were all going to the Park Road police station.

As they were driving on Vereeniging Drive, a truck came between the two vehicles. Malebatso then lost sight of the Hilux and never saw it again. Kamogelo has been missing ever since.

Later on, Malebatso found both his and Kamogelo’s cellphones thrown under a bridge on Ferrera Road. He also mentioned that one of the suspects spoke fluent Sesotho and used the name “Thipe.”

The police have opened a case for kidnapping and pretending to be police officers. They are asking anyone with information to come forward and help find Kamogelo.
