Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has spoken up after fans thought she was making fun of her fellow actress Biola Adebayo, who recently shared that her marriage ended.

The story began when Laide posted a video of herself dancing on Instagram with this caption:

In a video posted on Friday, she fired back at the trolls:

“Bad commenters and trolls association, something must be wrong with you.

Please let us all be guided. It is still June 5th here in California to be precise. I can never shade my own sister Biola Bayo. My prayers are with you. I didn’t get any updates. I was busy with my daughter’s graduation. Trolls are evil.”

“All of us will eat breakfast. Asiko lo ma ya to. Good morning people.”

This saying is often used when talking about heartbreak or a relationship that has ended. Laide posted it just a few hours after Biola announced her divorce, which made some fans think Laide was being mean on purpose.

But Laide said she didn’t mean anything like that.

Biola Bayo had earlier told her fans on Tuesday about her separation. She thanked everyone for their support and asked for privacy during the hard time.

Even though Laide says it was only a coincidence, many people on social media are still talking about whether her post was a hidden insult or just bad timing.
