Manchester City agree deal to sign Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan for £46.3m

Manchester City have made an agreement with AC Milan to bring Dutch midfielder Tijjani Reijnders to the club. The deal is worth around £46.3 million (€55 million).

Reijnders is set to sign a five-year contract with the Premier League champions and become part of Pep Guardiola’s squad.

As reported by football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Reijnders has already agreed to personal terms. The clubs have a verbal agreement in place, and they are now working on the final details to finish the move.

The 25-year-old midfielder had a strong season with AC Milan. He managed to score 15 goals and assisted 5 more across 54 games in all competitions.

Even though Milan didn’t have the best season and only finished eighth in the Serie A league, Reijnders stood out. His performances were so impressive that he was named Serie A’s Midfielder of the Season.

Manchester City are also busy with other possible signings. They are in talks with Wolves over Rayan Ait-Nouri, who is priced at around £40 million. They are also interested in Rayan Cherki from Lyon.

Cherki, who plays as an attacking midfielder, is 21 years old and is valued at around £35 million. He scored 12 goals in 44 games this season, including two against Manchester United in the Europa League.

He was also part of the France U23 team that won a silver medal at the Olympic Games last summer.

Cherki has not yet played for the senior French national team, but he recently got his first call-up. He might make his debut in the Nations League semi-final against Spain this Thursday.

City are hoping to sign Ait-Nouri before the FIFA Club World Cup begins, aiming to strengthen their defensive line.

Ait-Nouri has been closely watched by Manchester City scouts for the past year. The 23-year-old left-back has impressed with his performances at Wolves.
