Popular Nollywood actress Ruby Ojiakor has replied to people who are questioning why she chose to get married in her husband’s church instead of her own. Many fans were curious about the decision and shared their thoughts online.
Ruby recently posted a video on Instagram showing part of her wedding ceremony. In the video, she was seen reading a Bible passage inside St. Philips Anglican Church. Along with the video, she explained that the choice of church was not random. It was a decision she made out of love, respect, and commitment to her husband.
After sharing the video, some social media users began to ask why she didn’t pick her own church for such an important occasion. They expected her to follow her own religious tradition, but Ruby made her reasons very clear.
Her caption read:
“Yes I wedded at ST PHILIPS ANGLICAN CHURCH… MY HUSBAND’S CHURCH.
And for those of you saying it’s wrong, that it’s supposed to be in the woman’s church — please, when it gets to your turn, do as it pleases you, ok?
As for me, I wedded in my husband’s church because he married me in full. He’s the head of the family.”
She said she had no problem marrying in her husband’s church because he accepted and married her fully. She explained that out of respect and love for him, she also wanted to honor his spiritual background. For Ruby, marriage is about partnership, and choosing his church was one way to show her support and dedication.
“My King, I love, adore and respect you so much.
God bless you all and stop dragging me unnecessarily.
LOVE STORY WRITTEN IN HEAVEN.
TWO HEARTS, ONE SOUL.”
In the end, Ruby stood firm in her decision and made it clear that she is happy with the choice she made. She believes that love, respect, and unity matter more than following outside opinions.
