The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared two more people wanted. This is connected to a major fraud case involving Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX), an online digital trading platform.
The two people, Folashade Odelana and Bamidele Ayodele Abiodun, are accused of carrying out a scam that caused huge financial losses for many investors. They allegedly played key roles in misleading people who invested through the platform.
On June 4, the EFCC shared a notice on its official social media pages. The agency asked the public to help find the suspects by providing any useful information. It also said it is serious about catching people involved in online financial crimes, especially those using digital platforms.
Back in April, CBEX suddenly stopped working. Reports say over ₦1.3 trillion was taken from investors’ accounts. Many Nigerians lost their money and were left devastated by the collapse of the platform.
