A leader in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has told Nyesom Wike to officially join the APC if he truly thinks he’s a strong and important politician.
This comment came after Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), criticized former Transport Minister Chibuike Amaechi during a recent interview. Amaechi had said at his 60th birthday that the country’s economy under President Tinubu was making life very hard for him and many Nigerians.
Eze, speaking from Port Harcourt, said if Tinubu really believed in true democracy, he would have rejected the Rivers State election results. According to him, Wike manipulated the elections and made a joke of the democratic process.
He went on to say that Wike knows history will not be kind to him. Eze accused Wike of throwing away his morals just for power and control.
Eze said he wouldn’t waste his time responding to all Wike’s attacks on Amaechi, calling Wike simply jealous and full of bad intentions.
He added that APC leaders are ready for Wike and will cut him down to size if he dares to fully enter the party. He described Wike as someone who tries to serve two masters—keeping one leg in the PDP and the other in APC.
Eze also criticized Wike for betraying the PDP—the party that helped him rise in politics—only to now be praising APC leaders and the Tinubu administration.
He warned that Wike has already damaged his political future, and leaders like Akpabio, Uzodimma, Umahi, and Oshiomhole are waiting for him in APC and won’t go easy on him.
According to Eze, Wike is paying the price for his actions. He claimed the minister is mentally and emotionally exhausted from dealing with the guilt of his past behavior.
Eze defended Amaechi, calling him a more polished and honorable person who doesn’t act arrogantly or deceitfully.
He also reminded people that Wike openly admitted to playing a role in questionable actions during the 2023 elections in Rivers State. Eze said such admissions should never go unpunished in a serious society, yet Wike proudly talks about it.
Eze also mentioned that even though Wike may not be hungry due to alleged public looting, he played a part in worsening hunger across Nigeria by supporting the Tinubu government, which many say has led to more suffering.
Despite his criticism, Eze thanked Wike for reminding the public of Amaechi’s long and committed political service, which spans over 23 years.
He also praised two presidential aides—Olabamji Enitan Jowosimi and Lere Olayinka—who recently admitted that President Tinubu is not capable of leading the country properly.
These two aides had earlier attacked Amaechi for refusing to support Tinubu during the last election, saying Amaechi had been in government too long to complain.
Eze ended by saying that instead of proving that Tinubu is doing well, Wike’s media team chose to insult Amaechi, forgetting that he helped build the APC from the very beginning.
