Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, has criticized his fellow artist Speed Darlington over a video that caused a lot of concern online. In the clip, Speed Darlington appeared to admit that he had sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. Portable reacted strongly and didn’t hold back his words.

In the video response shared online, Portable called Speed Darlington a “disgrace” to the Igbo people. He explained that many Igbo men are usually known for treating women well with money and gifts. However, he said that Speed Darlington was boasting about taking the virginity of a young girl, which he found unacceptable and shameful.

‘’This man called Speed Darling aka Akpi is a disgrace to Igbo men. He is the first Igbo man that is lazy, that r@pes. An Igbo man would pay before sleeping with you. You will eat chicken, fish, sleep well…Igbo men take care of women. They have money. 

A useless Igbo man like Speed Darlington is r@ping a girl. His mates are waiting for ships in the sea, he is crying for relationship…r@ping a child that is looking for admission.

You must go to jail.”

Because of the serious nature of the video, Speed Darlington has been invited to the NAPTIP office. The agency, which handles issues like human trafficking and child abuse, wants to speak with him about the video where he claimed to have slept with a minor in a hotel.
