Nigerian music star Lojay has spoken out about the trend of artists criticizing award shows when they don’t win.

During an interview on HipTV’s “Trending,” Lojay said it’s okay for artists to feel disappointed, but they should always stay professional no matter the outcome.

He shared this advice after the 17th Headies Awards sparked some drama. A few artists were unhappy with the results and expressed their anger online.

Interestingly, Shallipopi — who actually won an award — still went on social media to complain and even said he wouldn’t attend the show again.

But Lojay disagrees with that kind of behavior. He believes it’s better to handle such situations with maturity and respect.
