Russia’s head coach, Valery Karpin, has announced the final team that will face Nigeria’s Super Eagles in an international friendly match.
Last week, he shared a larger squad of 41 players to choose from for the game.
Now, he has cut the list down to 31 players for the final selection.
Out of all the players, only two are currently playing for clubs outside Russia. These include Matvey Safonov, a goalkeeper with Paris Saint-Germain in France, and Anton Miranchuk, a midfielder who plays for Sion in Switzerland.
The Russian national team will begin training for the match on Saturday in Novogorsk, a training center near Moscow.
The much-awaited friendly match will take place on Friday, June 6, at the famous Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
