“Beauty opened doors — But I’m still not married.” – Actress Adunni Ade opens up about love, beauty, and heartbreak

Nollywood star Adunni Ade has opened up about her personal life, sharing some deep thoughts on love, beauty, and being single. The popular actress wants people to understand that being called beautiful doesn’t always mean people truly see who you are inside — especially when it comes to relationships.

She looked back on her experiences and explained that physical attraction might draw people in, but it doesn’t build a strong or lasting relationship. True love needs more than just looks.

“I used to be the centre of attention, the most admired, the most talked about in my youthful days. Beauty opened many doors. I was loved, I was desired,” she confessed.
“But guess what? I’m still not married.”

Speaking in an interview reported by Vanguard, Adunni shared that her single status has nothing to do with not being good enough. Instead, she said she now understands that beauty alone can’t keep a man interested or committed.

“Some came for the face, not the soul. Some wanted the shine, not the substance,” she said.
“I learned the hard way that a woman must be more than just beautiful.”

Adunni also gave some advice to other women. She said it’s important not to focus only on looking good. Instead, women should work on building their values, character, and personal goals.

“Build your mind, know your worth, have values, be whole on your own. Marriage will come when it is right, but don’t think beauty is all you need.”

The actress, known for her elegance and strong presence on screen, believes that what truly matters is who you are on the inside. She encourages women to keep growing, stay true to themselves, and not rely only on their appearance.

“Life demands more than looks. Work on yourself, grow, be the kind of woman that doesn’t just turn heads — because in the end, beauty fades, but character stays.”
