Veteran Nollywood actress Nkechi Nweje was laid to rest today in her hometown in Anambra State. Many people came to say goodbye, including her family, friends, and colleagues from the movie industry.

She passed away on March 21, 2025. Although the reason for her death is still unknown, her sudden passing shocked and saddened a lot of people.

The burial had a big turnout from the Nollywood family. Many famous actors and filmmakers were there to honor her. Former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, also attended. This showed how much love and respect people had for her, both in the movie world and in her community.

Nkechi Nweje was well-known for acting in both traditional and modern Nollywood films. She often played strong mother figures or respected elders. She was loved for how real and powerful her acting was. People admired her not only for her work but also for her humble and kind personality.
