Nigerian singer, Kcee, is calling on fellow music artists to show more love and support to the Nollywood movie industry.

He suggested that musicians should buy and watch Nigerian movies, work with Nollywood actors, and also promote their films on social media.

Kcee shared his thoughts during a recent chat with Hip TV.

According to him, movie stars always help musicians by sharing their songs and dancing to their music online. He believes it’s only fair for music artists to return the support.

He said he personally enjoys watching Nollywood films and doesn’t watch movies from other countries. He even mentioned that some people tease him for always watching Nigerian movies, but he doesn’t mind because he loves them.

Kcee also shared a recent example. A woman wanted to use his song “Cultural Praise” in her movie. When she asked how much it would cost, he told her to use it for free. He said that’s one way he shows his support for Nollywood.

He pointed out that musicians often invite actors to be in their music videos and sometimes even act in films themselves. But he believes more can be done. He said artists should help promote Nollywood movies on their social media pages. Even though he hasn’t started doing it yet, he plans to do so and hopes others will join in too.

Kcee ended by saying that actors often support music artists without being asked, so it’s only right for musicians to return the favor.
