Kaduna: Gov Sani reinstates Information Ministry El-Rufai scrapped

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has brought back the Ministry of Information, which was removed during the time of the previous governor, Nasir El-Rufai. This move marks a return to a more traditional government structure in the state.

As part of the changes, Professor Mohammed Sani-Bello, who was the Commissioner for Education, has now been given a new role as head of the revived Ministry of Information. Taking his place is Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo, who will now lead the Ministry of Education.

Professor Sambo has a strong background in energy management. He used to be the Director General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria and also served as a Special Adviser to the President on Energy. His experience is expected to help improve education in Kaduna State.

According to a statement from the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ibraheem Musa, another important appointment was made. Gloria Ibrahim has been chosen as the new Commissioner for Youth Development. All these appointments and changes take effect immediately.

Governor Sani congratulated all the newly appointed officials. He said he expects Professor Sambo to bring new life into the education sector by making schools better, training teachers, improving access to learning, focusing on the education of girls, using technology, and ensuring schools are safe.

For the Ministry of Youth Development, the governor wants Gloria Ibrahim to create fresh and useful programs that will help young people grow and succeed. This fits into his broader plan to support and empower the youth across Kaduna State.
