Nigerian music star Banky W has reached a new milestone in his life. He just earned a Master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington D.C., one of the world’s top schools for public policy.

Besides being a singer, Banky W is also an actor and politician. He shared his graduation moment on Instagram, where he looked back on how much he has grown over the last few years. While studying full-time, he also worked as a Fellow on Capitol Hill and welcomed his second child with his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington. Together, they raised two young children while living in the U.S.

In his Instagram post, Banky W opened up about how tough the journey was emotionally and spiritually. He said, “You can’t pour from an empty cup,” which means he had to take time away from fame to refocus and find strength again.
