Rangers Football Club has said that the rumours about their General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku, planning to leave the team are not true.
There were stories last week claiming that Ezeaku might step down from his position as GM.
But the club’s media director, Nobert Okolie, strongly denied the claims and called them false.
“There is no truth at all in that rumour,” Okolie said.
He also explained that Ezeaku has not spoken to anyone about leaving. According to him, even the government that owns and supports the team has not questioned Ezeaku’s role in any way.
Amobi Ezeaku used to be the Team Manager before he became the General Manager in 2023.
Under his leadership, Rangers won their eighth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title last season.
Now, the team is getting ready to face Kwara United in the semi-final of the President Federation Cup. The match will be played this Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
