I see President Tinubu as Joseph the dreamer— Umahi

Nigeria’s Minister of Works, David Umahi, has described President Bola Tinubu as a man with big dreams, just like the biblical Joseph. He praised Tinubu for having the courage to set high goals and work hard to achieve them.

Speaking at a press event in Abuja where he shared updates on his ministry’s work, Umahi said he believes God has given Tinubu the strength to carry out his plans successfully.

Umahi talked about how the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road project was one of the assignments given to him by the President. He said he was inspired by the Eko Atlantic project, which Tinubu started when he was the Governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007.

He said, “President Tinubu is a brave man. I call him Joseph the dreamer because his dreams are coming true. I respect him a lot for that.”

Umahi also praised Tinubu for starting the Sokoto-Badagry road project. He said this project was first thought of nearly 47 years ago by former President Shehu Shagari.

The Minister explained that the road was originally planned to go from Badagry to Sokoto. However, Tinubu, who he called a president for all Nigerians, asked that it be reversed—from Sokoto to Badagry.

He said such a large and important project needs strong leadership and vision, which Tinubu clearly has.

Umahi, who once served as the Governor of Ebonyi State, went on to praise Tinubu’s overall performance since becoming president in May 2023.

He pointed out that Nigeria’s economy is improving, with GDP growing, inflation going down, and better foreign exchange rates.

Umahi also mentioned that the World Bank confirmed Nigeria no longer owes it any money. He called on Nigerians to appreciate President Tinubu’s bold and fearless leadership.
