Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen is close to joining Real Madrid after finishing his medical tests. The young player is preparing for a big move from the Premier League to LaLiga.

Real Madrid has agreed to pay £50 million to activate Huijsen’s release clause. This will allow the Spanish giants to sign him from Bournemouth without further negotiations.

Reports say that Madrid wants Huijsen to be ready in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, which is happening next month. The club hopes he will strengthen their defense during the tournament.

Fabrizio Romano, a trusted football transfer expert, shared this update on his X (Twitter) page. He confirmed that Huijsen is currently in London doing the final part of his medical checks.

Romano added that Bournemouth has approved the deal. Once the medicals are complete, Huijsen will sign his new contract with Real Madrid. He is also expected to join the team for the Club World Cup.

In an earlier post, Romano explained that Huijsen’s participation in the Club World Cup was agreed from the beginning. His new deal with Real Madrid will last five years, running until 2030.
