Governor Sule nominates administrators, members for 18 area administrative councils in Nasarawa

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has officially submitted a list of nominees for administrators and council members for the 18 Area Administrative Councils in the state. This was done in a letter dated May 12, 2025, addressed to the Speaker of the State House of Assembly.

The nominations are in line with the Nasarawa State Local Government Law, 2024. These appointments aim to fill leadership positions in areas that were previously referred to as Development Areas. The nominees will undergo a screening process and must be confirmed by the State Assembly before officially taking office.

Hashimu Jada has been nominated as the Administrator for Azara. The members for this council are Sabiu Haruna, Sule S. Pada, Maimuna Abubakar Umar, and Abubakar Dantala Yakubu.

Hon. Yakubu Bala is the nominated Administrator for Karshi. His council members are Sulaiman Malan, Adamu Yakubu, Adamu Abdullahi, and Atuwa Enouck Atnandu.

Professor Rabo Dakare will serve as the Administrator for Panda. The nominated members are Zullai Abdullahi Ango, Mike John Boyi, Abdullahi Abubakar Kwakuru, Joseph Jatau, and Lafia East.

Jeremiah Ishaleku has been nominated as the Administrator for Lafia East. The council members are Ruth Iliya Akpanva, Ismaila Abu Ari, Safiyanu Abdulhamid Adogi, and Augustine A. Allu.

For Lafia North, Nasiru Akanza is nominated as Administrator. The members are Hon. Abbas Ibrahim, Ali Abubakar, Abubakar Al Bako, and Barr. Ovey Yakubu.

Hon. Jibrin Maiwada will serve as Administrator for Gadabuke. The nominated members are Barr. Alhassan Salihu, Alheri S. Samuel, Alh. Yusuf Ibrahim Maikasuwa, and Kasimu Mohammed.

Hon. Shuaibu Jibrin is the nominated Administrator for Daddare. The members are Shitu Mamman Anzaku, Fatima Muhammad Riri, Ismaila Mohammed Riri, and Sani Mohammed Yakubu.

Hon. David Ayele has been nominated as the Administrator for Jenkwe. The council members include Jonathan Jame, Clement Ishaku Kudu, Azige Wuya Ozhe, and Ashikpo Leke Joseph.

Bashir Zubairu is the nominated Administrator for Farin Ruwa. The members for this area are Elizabeth Auta, Julius Jukpah, Nuhu Umar Atsiya, and Hon. Sule Tanko.

Hon. Yunusa Adamu Amwe is the nominated Administrator for Akwanga West. The members for this area include Patricia Adamu, Alhaji Khalid Yusuf, Obed Gwamna, and Sashe Goria.

Abdullahi Agu Envulu-Anza has been nominated as the Administrator for Agidi. The council members are Yohana Audu, Hussaina Ovye, Hon. Loya Ahmed Tsaku, and Umbugadu Joel Anuku.

Hon. Solomon Omaku will serve as the Administrator for Giza. His council members are Jamila Alakayi, Hon. Theophilus Tyovenda, Ibrahim Akabe Saidu, and Abubakar Murtala Mohammed.

Dr. Adigizi Garba is the nominated Administrator for Akun. The members are Gloria Emmanuel Makama, Garba Ali Jatau, Ali Tsaku Ombugadu, and Francis Anzaku.

Shuaibu Umar is the nominated Administrator for Loko. The council members are Ibrahim D. Gloria, James U. Ogba, Stephen Boniface Oiyiganji, and Salisu A. Ibrahim.

Air Commodore Yahaya Owuna (rtd) has been nominated as the Administrator for Udege. His nominated members are Aliyu Abubakar Amaks, Osu Danjuma Job, Abubakar Okuwa, Ph.D, and Abubakar Adamu Ekye.

Prince Abubakar Jibrin will serve as the Administrator for Ekye. His council members are Monday Michael, Abdul One Mohammed, Rebecca Enock, Josiah Ozotu, and Umaisha.

Salihu Kasim Hasheem is the nominated Administrator. The council members include Yunusa Yusuf (Baduku), Fatima Mohammed Sani, Prince Ibrahim Jibo, and Mustapha Aliyu.

Elisha Dogo has been nominated as the Administrator for Agwada. The members for the area are Hon. Maikasuwa Audu, Abubakar Abdullahi, Ibrahim Yahaya Jantawe, and Asambe Zubeva Idete.

The next step for these nominees is to undergo a thorough screening process by the State Assembly. Once confirmed, they will begin their roles in governing their respective councils and supporting the development of Nasarawa State.
